In 2004 my son was born and I had big plans to scrapbook all of my family stories. As he grew it became too hard to keep my supplies stocked, keep him from crawling across my projects or tearing apart my stickers! The last straw was when my dad spilled a cup of coffee on my wedding album!

I started searching the internet for a better way. I had my son's first birthday bound in a book from a dot com publisher. I was frustrated with the lack of options. Less than a year after receiving my book, the cover became dirty-looking and the binding split. My search continued until I saw a gorgeous book featuring two children kissing their mom's pregnant belly at a festival booth. I talked to the lady that made the book and realized that this was just what I was looking for. The design flexibility and lifetime project archiving truly made Heritage Makers stand out to me as the perfect solution for preserving my family stories.

I quickly learned how easy it was to create these beautiful keepsakes and wanted to share the Power of Story with my friends and family. I joined the mission of Heritage Makers in August 2006.
